If you have been trying to get thin and do something about your weight, then you will probably have started eating properly and exercising. There are some people though who experience a decrease in weight loss after a while and they wonder, why did I stop losing weight?
There are a few reasons for this, and these will help you start up on your old regime and make it work again. The main thing you are going to have to do, is alter the way you see your weight loss goals. Now, the first thing that you need to do is set a goal that is real. You do not want to set a high goal that you will not reach in the end.
Now, once you start losing weight, you also have to adjust the amount of food you eat otherwise your body starts to think you are starving. This will make your metabolism slow down and your weight loss will stop. So, if you want to keep losing weight, you actually have to start eating a bit more so that you have energy for exercising and this will help your weight loss.
Another thing you have to keep in mind is that when you want to lose weight you will also need to figure out what kind of exercise you need to do. When you are trying to get thinner you will have to do more cardio work so that your heart rate increases.
Another reason that you might not have noticed any further weight loss is if you are doing weight training. Muscle weighs more than fat, so if you are lifting weights, or even just doing light weights to tone your muscles you could be just compensating the fat loss for the muscle gain according to a scale.
Cardio is very important when you are trying to get rid of fat. You must understand that weight training alone does not burn a ton of fat. You need to heat up your body, you need to use energy, and the only way you can do this is if you do your cardio for at least 30 minutes a day 4 - 5 days a week.
